Individualism vs Collectivism

ree

In western countries, individualism is favoured over collectivism which is more found in eastern countries.

Collectivism: A social and economic ideology that emphasizes the importance of the group over the individual. It advocates for collective decision-making and shared ownership of resources.

Individualism: A social and economic philosophy that prioritizes individual rights, autonomy, and personal freedom. It focuses on self-reliance and the belief that individuals should pursue their own goals.

  • Collectivism:

    • Group identity and cohesion are prioritized.

    • Emphasis on community welfare and social responsibility.

    • Decisions are made collectively, often through consensus.

    • Resources and benefits are distributed based on group needs.

  • Individualism:

    • Personal identity and autonomy are emphasized.

    • Focus on individual rights and freedoms.

    • Decisions are made independently, based on personal judgment.

    • Resources and benefits are earned through individual effort.

The focus on the self in individualism leads to a lack of respect and compassion for others. This often leads to hypocrites and narcissists and can also lead to social isolation. Collectivism is about sacrifice for the greater good and that you might have to be respectful to others but this means they will be respectful for you. We need a more collectivistic society based on the common good where everyone can lead peaceful lives through untiy which can be accomplished thorugh my ideas and plan for a world government using a social credit system.
