Productivity

Many of the critics of world government or hegemony say that this would lead to less productivity as there is no competition, I believe it would be the exact opposite. States, instead of working together, work separately and compete against each other on projects that would benefit humanity as a whole in all areas. In a world government. Everyone would be working together in a world government and instead of experts in the field being constrained though border issues and national security issues, they can all share their research and work collaboratively together.
